As the exclusive engine supplier to the FIM Moto2™ World Championship, Triumph Motorcycles now provides all of the teams race-tuned 765cc Triples each of which is based on the class-leading Street Triple RS powerplant, with major developments that allow the engine to breathe more freely and rev harder, and a peak power output of more than 140PS (an increase of more than 17% over the production bike).

After 19 amazing races, Triumph’s inaugural season as exclusive engine supplier to all Moto2™ teams is over, completing what has been, for many, one of the most exciting Moto2 seasons ever.

Motorcycle racing fans all over the world were treated to race after race of breathtaking competitive riding in a season that saw 16 circuit lap records and 18 circuit top speeds being posted out of the 19 races, as well as Moto2™’s first +300km/h.

We’re very proud that Triumph’s 765cc triple engine contributed significantly to an incredible championship that ended with five riders finishing the season with over 200 points and the top two separated by only 3 points.

Congratulations not only to the 2019 FIM Moto2™ World Champion Alex Marquez, but also to all the riders and teams who contributed to such a memorable racing year.

Even though the 2019 tyres are still warm, we’re already planning for next season.  No doubt there’ll be a few new faces and many familiar faces but, one thing’s for sure, the 2020 Moto™ season is sure to be another thriller.  See you all in March at Qatar for the start of our second race year!

Here it is: the new Triumph-engineered 138 Hp+ race-tuned 765cc Triple engine that is exclusively powering the Moto2™ World Championship.
